Mediahooch organized a graphic design challenge with a top prize of N50,000 for the first place winner, N30,000 for the second place winner, and N20,000 for the third place winner. The theme of the challenge was to design any fictional company of the designer’s choice.
The response to the challenge was overwhelming, with hundreds of designers submitting their best work. The level of creativity and innovation on display was impressive, with designers coming up with a wide variety of fictional companies ranging from trendy coffee shops to cutting-edge tech firms.

The judges had a tough job selecting the winners, but in the end, they narrowed it down to three stand-out designs.
Frist Place Winner – Fresh
The first place winner was a designer Alih Hamza who created a fictional Orange Juice company called “Fresh” The brand identity was inspired by nature, with a logo featuring a stylized orange fruit making up the letter E and a color palette of greens and orange. The designer also created a range of marketing materials, including business cards, packaging, and social media graphics, all of which were consistent with the brand’s eco-friendly message.
Second Place Winner – Infinity Bee
The second place winner was a designer VIki Johnson who came up with a fictional Honey Brand called “Infinity Bee” The brand identity featured a sleek, modern look, with a logo comprising of a stylized symbol of a bee whose wings were represented as the infinity symbol in orange and black. The designer also created a range of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and website graphics, all of which were consistent with the brand’s image.
Third Place Winner – Adamau Mai Shayi
The third place winner was a designer Algazali Cre8es who created a fictional coffee shop called “Adamu Mai Shayi” The brand identity featured a warm and inviting look, with a logo comprising of a stylized Hausa man’s head with traditional cap symbolizing the regular Mai Shayi looks from Northern nigeria in shades of brown and orange. The designer also created a range of marketing materials, including menus, signage, and social media graphics, all of which were consistent with the brand’s coffeehouse theme.
