The world is evolving and there is every need for us to evolve at the same time. Technology is not what it used to be before. It is advancing every minute, second, and hour. 

Tech and business community in collaboration with Mediahooch, Shipper Nigeria, and Northpad Nigeria, organized 4 weeks of physical kids coding training in Zaria to train kids between the age of 7-15 to learn how to code using their personal computers. 

Objectives

1. Create smart and fun games
2. Create animations and cool visual effects
3. Code – one of the most important skills to learn!
4. Understand complex computer science concepts by intuitively applying them in games
5. Learn text-based programming languages 2x – 10x faster

Sessions

The training started on 5th November 2022 at 9 am at Mediahooch Academy. The kids had an introductory session with their first trainer, Ila Bappa Ibrahim who took them on a journey of what the course was all about, what they’ll be expecting, and how they should go through with it. 

Miss Zainab Umar, who was their second trainer took the kids through the various apps they will be using and how they would code and become better at it. The kids were interested in learning and becoming better at this course. 

Knowing fully well that this can be a bit challenging, the kids did their best on how they can be extremely good and perfect in coding.
