Printing Method Options
Digital Printing
Digital Printing is when a digital based image is reproduced to print format, using a physical surface like paper, film, plastic, photographic paper or cloth.
Offset Printing
Offset printing is a type of print that makes use of plates. These plates usually made from aluminium. In this technique the inked image is transferred from the plate to a rubber blanket, then rolled unto the sheet of paper.
Flexography
This printing method uses flexible relief plates that can be stuck to a printing cylinder. Flexography can be used in the printing of food packaging, plastic bags, gift wrap, wallcovering, magazines, newspaper inserts, etc.
Screen Printing
Screen printing creates sharp-edged images by making use of stencils. The screen consists of a finely woven fabric which stretches over an aluminium frame. A stencil is then used to block the images that need printing.
Letterpress Printing
This refers to the direct imprint of ink media such as plates onto an open surface. It is printing text with movable type. The raised surface of the type is inked and then pressed against a receptive surface to obtain an image in reverse.
Freehand Printing
Also known as Freehand sketching, is such a drawing which is drawn without measuring instruments.
